Expertise in Industrial Projects

In its 18 years of presence in Asia, VIRTUARCH has successfully delivered more than 120 Industrial projects in China and in other Asian countries. A number of landmark factories and R&D facilities were designed and realized by VIRTUARCH for many international and local companies, thus earning its good reputation in the market.

Presentation Regarding Factory Relocation

On the second day of CIIF2020, VIRTUARCH took the stage talking about the challenges and solutions of successful factory relocation in China. Mr. Heusser explained based on numerous examples of factories realized by VIRTUARCH that for industrial companies, efficient production starts with well-designed production plants – a core competence of VIRTUARCH. The Swiss architectural firm has delivered high-quality plants for many market leading companies and hidden champions in different industries, e.g. mechanical manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical and medical industries as well as robotics and automotive.

Based on showcases of successfully completed projects, VIRTUARCH explained the different options a company has when wanting to relocate an industrial facility, as well as their advantages and disadvantages.

Brownfield Projects: e.g. Kuka Robotics, Songjiang, Shanghai, 2019

VIRTUARCH also showed its experience in realizing high-quality projects for Chinese companies. “While Foreign Invested Enterprises in China are currently very cautious with their investments, Chinese private enterprises are much more confident at the moment. In fact, VIRTUARCH works for a number of Chinese clients which are establishing themselves as world-class players in their relative markets, and who want also to manifest that in their buildings,” Daniel Heusser explained. “While Europe is still in the mid of the Covid pandemic, China has passed beyond it.”
