Right in the center of the EUROCAMPUS in Qingpu, VIRTUARCH inserted an award-winning library building. The building with its iconic façade built of  carefully engineered  book-shaped sunshading elements. The half-open book shape symbolizes the importance of knowledge and the freedom of thought. These book-shaped panels create a soft and subtle shadow effect in the interior space.
The library is a new interactive and interdisciplinary learning environment in the heart of the existing campus, accessible to students of all age groups and providing them with a selection of adaptive spaces, from the storytelling area for the kindergarten kids till the roof garden hideouts for the graduating students, from quiet reading areas to multifunction gathering spaces.
The construction of the building while the campus was fully operating was a challenge perfectly mastered by the project management team of VIRTUARCH.
