INTERROLL Inaugurates the New Suzhou Plant
After two successful decades in the Chinese material-handling market, Interroll has opened its Asia Pacific and China hub in Suzhou, China. The new Interroll Suzhou factory designed by VIRTUARCH is located in the Suzhou Industrial Park, with a total floor space of approximately 28,000 square meters and a total investment of RMB 181 million. This marks a major upgrade of Interroll’s Suzhou manufacturing base to provide high-quality products and services and all-around customer support and demonstrates Interroll’s long-term commitment to China and Asia Pacific markets.

Yellow is the main colour of the enterprise, then the designers used it as a lead accent colour in both the architecture and interior design to make the entire project more dynamic. landscape, and reserved land.
The entrance of the office is an iconic round-shaped cylinder-form building referencing to rollers, the core of client’s business. The façade facing West is equipped with vertical metal louvers, recalling the expression of the transport systems of Interroll, while functionally protecting the office building from too much sunlight and heat.
Virtuarch claims that BUILDING BETTER FUTURES. In this project, the entire factory design follows an energy-saving concept; the large shed roofs allow illuminating the production floors with daylight only, while the heat of direct sunshine is kept out of the building. This design also allows the production building to be naturally ventilated at some seasons, while a fresh air system combined with a cooling system keeps the factory space comfortable and operation costs low.
